Prevelo crank lengths are custom sized for each size bike to make sure little riders have optimum pedal ergonomics. And they have ultra-narrow Q-factors to match the narrow hips of young cyclists. Kids are going to put their bikes through the ringer, so Prevelo bikes are built kid tough with robust BOXT rear chainstays and seat stays, and BMX track style forged dropouts that completely shroud the rear axle bolts.
The Alpha Two features Prevelo's signature confidence inspiring geometry. Prevelo geometry utilizes a low bottom bracket that lowers the center of gravity of the bike and rider, making for a more agile and confident ride.
The hubs are equipped with rounded axle bolts that minimize hard edges. And because kids are going to run their bikes through muck, the hubs have rubber seals to keep out dirt and grime.
This is where little riders command their steed. It's decked out with ultra small diameter grips and short reach brake levers that are optimized for small hands.
A low minimum seat height and dropped top tube help accomodate the smallest riders.

Its a pricey bike for a kid, but the quality and beauty are worth the investment as I expect my son to ride his Alpha Two for the next 2yrs or more. From what I see the resale market for these bikes is also strong so if you are on the fence make sure to factor that in.
United StatesWe love Prevelo bikes. I started my kid on the Alpha Zero, when he was a tiny person, and now he is comfortable, confident, and loves bicycling. I picked Prevelo because of the reviews, but I loved that it came with a rear brake hand lever - something that hardly any balance bike comes with. The website is easy to navigate, the customer service is excellent, and the trade up club is wonderful - I feel better about the higher price AND if he grows out of a bike faster than I expect, it is no big deal. We moved from the Alpha Zero to the Alpha One, and now that my son is 4 and a half, he is zooming around on the Alpha Two. I did a lot of research, and while there are cheaper bikes out there, they aren't equivalent quality, and many of them don't come with both front and rear hand levers. The way my son rides on dirt paths and down inclines - the hand lever brakes make for a much more precise ride. If you want your kid to enjoy bicycling, ask to go bicycling instead of sitting around and watching TV, and to be confident and agile on his/her bicycle, then go for a Prevelo bike.
