Jumping on the Prevelo was a noticeable change in how he rode. I immediately noticed his feet were on the pedals correctly. Stopping wasn’t such a chore as he could reach the levers without removing all four fingers from the bars. Shifting was easier, too. The grip shift on his old bike had him moving his hand so much that he had to take his concentration from the trail and focus it on the shifting task. Plus, the grip itself was coming off the bars the more and more he shifted. With a standard thumb shifter, shifting wasn’t only easier, he learned to do it without looking.
There are not a lot of other kids bikes out there right now that have been thought out this well. If you’re looking for a trail bike that can handle climbing and descending on mellow rides as well as some serious single track that will test the skills of any kid, the Zulu line-up has you covered.

This bike is exactly what we were looking for. The fork is truly incredible with its ability to soak up bumps with lightest of weight riders. Wide rims and wide tires offer amazing traction and enhance the shredability with its longer wheelbase, 67 degree HA and hydraulic dis brakes. The kids specific handlebar, grips and cranks are welcome features for these tiny rippers. If your little 4/5 year wants to descend MTB flow trails with you...this bike is the answer.

This Bike opens up longer riding with the anti-fatigue hydraulic disc brakes and slack, low and long stable geometry. All this makes for a very unique bike in the category of 14 inch bikes. We grab the tow ropes every weekend and go looking for fun mellow sustained descending single track. This is the best bike we have tried for adventurous three year olds for this purpose.

Thank the gods, my 7-year-old got her new Alpha Three right out of the box (which came with her name already emblazoned on the shiny steed and took me about ten minutes to assemble), and immediately overcame whatever was previously holding her back. The combination of lighter weight, more optimal kid geometry, and a freewheel hub seemed to do the trick, and alleviate my previous feelings of failing as a father.
