Prevelo bikes are inventoried at Prevelo bike Headquarters in Westlake Village, California. We have a showroom here with a fleet of bikes for little riders to test ride. If you want to visit, please contact us and make an appointment so we can be sure to have someone ready to assist you.
We have a small handful of dealers listed on our Dealer List. If you plan on visiting a dealer, it's a good idea to call ahead and see if they have the model you are interested in.
If you are not within driving distance of Westlake Village, California or a dealer, you can order a bike through prevelobikes.com. We understand that some parents might have some trepidation about ordering a bike online. If you have any questions about fit, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you out, or consult our size guide (we have >98% success rate rate of getting children properly fitted this way). And to be certain that you love the bike, we have a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.
Our outlet bikes don't follow a regular restocking schedule. The availability of bikes in our outlet section depends on various factors including trade-ins, demo bikes, and occasional overstock. Since each outlet bike is unique, we cannot predict future inventory or when specific models will become available.
We currently don't offer an inventory notification system for outlet bikes. We recommend checking our outlet page regularly if you're interested in purchasing an outlet bike, as they tend to sell quickly once listed.
For the most up-to-date selection, please visit our outlet page at: https://prevelo.com/pages/outlet-bike-availability

The clicking or buzzing sound you hear when coasting on your bicycle is completely normal and comes from the pawls in your rear hub (this occurs on all Prevelo bikes with pedals). When you stop pedaling, these spring-loaded pawls click up and down over the teeth of the drive ring inside the hub, producing the distinctive buzz you hear. This mechanism is essential for your bike's function, allowing you to coast without the pedals turning.
Premium hubs often have more pawls and engagement points, which can result in a louder, more pronounced sound. For detailed information about hub technology and why higher-quality hubs tend to make more noise, please visit our blog at: https://prevelo.com/blogs/news/the-science-behind-bicycle-hub-sounds-why-premium-hubs-click-louder
Please see Air Fork Instructions
If your child’s Zulu Series bike (Zulu One, Zulu Two, Zulu Three, Zulu Four or Zulu Five) has a flat tire or a tube that won’t hold air, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered.
Zulu bikes use rims drilled for Presta valves, which are narrower than the valves found on many common bike tubes. Most tubes you’ll find at big box stores are designed for Schrader valves, which are wider and won’t fit through the Presta-sized valve hole in the rim. Attempting to force a Schrader valve through the rim can damage both the valve and the wheel.
We carry the exact replacement tubes with the correct valve type and sizing for all Zulu Series bikes.
👉 Order a replacement tube here
Always check the inside of the tire for debris like thorns or glass before installing a new tube.
Inflate the new tube slightly before installing it to reduce the risk of pinching.
If you're unfamiliar with Presta valves, this guide shows how to use and inflate them properly.

We believe that the best way to teach children to ride is to prioritize teaching balance. Balance is the most difficult part of learning to ride a bike and the skill that training wheels are poor at teaching.
We do not offer training wheels for our bikes. And because of the design of the rear drop out on Prevelo Bikes (where the rear wheel attaches to the bike), it would be challenging to fit training wheels on our bikes
Our recommended teaching method is to let children learn balance by practicing without the pedals on that bike (so the child is running with the bike underneath them). After some time doing this, your child should learn to coast for short distance by sitting in the seat and lifting her feet off the ground.

This document outlines the refund policy for purchases made at Prevelo Bikes. Understanding our refund process is essential for ensuring a smooth transaction experience. Below, we detail how refunds are processed and the exceptions that may apply.
Refunds are always processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase. This ensures that the funds are returned to the correct source. Below are the specifics regarding different payment methods:
If you made your purchase using a credit or debit card, the refund will be credited back to that same card.
For purchases made with a gift card, such as a Visa or American Express gift card, the funds will be returned to that gift card.
In cases where the payment method used for the purchase has been cancelled (for example, if you closed a credit card account after making the purchase), you will need to contact your bank to inquire about receiving the refunded amount.
The only exception to the standard refund process pertains to Trade-Up Club returns. In these cases, the credit for the old bike will be refunded to the payment method used for the new bike purchase.
For any further inquiries regarding our refund policy, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team.
Fill out the Return Request Form to request a return.
Like most brands Prevelo bikes are made in Asia (specifically, Prevelo bikes are made in Taiwan, Cambodia and Thailand). The ownership, product development, marketing, graphics design, web design, and pretty much everything else, is done right here in the United States. When you buy a Prevelo bike, some of the money goes to Asia for manufacturing costs (like most brands). The rest stays in the United States.

Note: This policy is for USA bound bikes.
At Prevelo, we work with FedEx and UPS to ensure your bike arrives safely. In our experience, 99.99% of packages are successfully delivered, and when issues do arise, they're usually resolved quickly.
Our promise: We will never leave you without your purchase. If a package is truly lost after our investigation, we'll send a replacement or provide a full refund.
Our shipping team has successfully delivered tens of thousands of bikes to families across the country. They understand the shipping system inside and out and are experts at tracking down packages that seem to have gone astray.
Here's what we've learned: Many customers contact us convinced their package is lost forever - only to have it show up within a few days. Tracking systems aren't perfect, packages get mis-scanned, and sometimes they take unexpected routes. That's why we ask for your patience while we work with our carriers to locate your shipment. In nearly every case, the package arrives safely.
If timely delivery is critical for your needs (birthday, holiday, special event), we strongly recommend selecting an expedited shipping option at checkout. These services come with time-based delivery guarantees from the carriers.
We're here to help! While shipping delays can be concerning, most situations resolve themselves within a few days. Here's how we handle different scenarios:
What's happening: Sometimes tracking appears to freeze at one location. This is usually a scanning issue, and the package is still moving through the system.
What we'll do: We'll monitor the shipment and work with the carrier to get updates. These situations typically resolve within a few days.
What's happening: The package may have been:
Delivered to a neighbor or nearby address by mistake
Left in an unexpected location on your property
Picked up by someone else at your address
Unfortunately, stolen from your delivery location
What we'll do:
We'll initiate a carrier investigation to verify the delivery location
We'll ask you to check with neighbors and around your property
If we suspect theft, we may request that you file a police report for documentation
We work closely with FedEx and UPS to locate packages, and we ask for your patience during this process. We allow carriers up to 21 days from the original estimated delivery date to resolve shipping issues.
Why 21 days? While most issues are resolved much sooner (typically within 3-7 days), some situations require more time for the carrier to investigate thoroughly. This approach helps us avoid sending duplicate shipments that create hassle for you.
At Prevelo, we conduct our own thorough investigation alongside the carrier's efforts. Even if a carrier reports a package as "lost," our experienced team continues to track and investigate - we've learned that packages reported as lost often still make their way to customers.
Why does this matter to you? Sometimes carriers, wanting to provide quick closure to concerned customers, may prematurely conclude a package is lost. However, our years of experience have shown us that many of these "lost" packages are simply delayed and eventually arrive. That's why we rely on our own team's expertise to determine when a package is truly lost before sending a replacement or issuing a refund.
This careful approach protects you from the hassle of receiving duplicate orders and having to arrange returns. Rest assured, if our investigation confirms your package cannot be recovered, we'll promptly send a replacement or provide a full refund - you'll never be left without your purchase.
We'll stay in communication throughout the process with regular updates
We'll work directly with the carrier so you don't have to
We'll resolve the issue either by locating your package or providing a replacement/refund after the investigation period
Be patient: Most shipping issues resolve within a few days, even when tracking seems stuck. Your patience during the investigation period helps us avoid duplicate shipments.
Cooperate with our investigation:
If the carrier says they delivered to a specific location (back porch, side door, etc.), please check that area
If tracking shows delivery to a neighbor, please check with them
If we suspect theft, we'll need you to file a police report and provide us with the report number
Check thoroughly: Sometimes packages are left in unexpected spots - check with building management, neighbors, behind bushes, or other areas around your property
Secure delivery location: Consider having packages held at a FedEx/UPS location if theft is a concern in your area
Stay in touch: Respond to our updates so we can resolve issues as quickly as possible
If you have any concerns about your shipment, please contact us.
Please include your order number and phone number when contacting us.
This policy applies to shipments within the United States only
Replacement shipments are sent via standard shipping
For high-theft areas, we recommend using FedEx/UPS hold for pickup services
We appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is to get your child's new bike to you while avoiding the inconvenience of duplicate deliveries that need to be returned.

Many parents/riders prefer to a bike without a coaster brake. The freewheel kit allows the removal of the coaster brake and installation of a freewheel. It includes a complete extra wheel with a freewheel hub, tire and tube. Requires Installation.
In order to remove the coaster brake you need to have the Alpha One Freewheel Kit. If you would like to purchase a freewheel kit for the Alpha One, you can either check the box to include it with your Alpha One purchase, or you can buy it separately here: Alpha One Freewheel Kit
