Powerful hydraulic disc brakes give kids plenty of stopping power on long descents. Rear disc brake requires Zulu One Rear Disc Brake Kit.
This is where little riders command these steed. It's decked out with ultra small diameter grips and short reach brake levers that are optimized for small hands.
The Zulu One features Prevelo's signature confidence inspiring geometry. Prevelo geometry utilizes a low bottom bracket that lowers the center of gravity of the bike and rider, making for a more agile and confident ride. The slack front end makes the bike forgiving to young trail riders experimenting with tough terrain.
Prevelo crank lengths are custom sized for each size bike to make sure little riders have optimum pedal ergonomics. And they have ultra-narrow Q-factors to match the narrow hips of young cyclists. If that sounds like technical mumbo jumbo, here's the point - Prevelo cranks will help make small riders more comfortable and efficient on their bike.
Kids are going to put their bikes through the ringer, so Prevelo bikes are built kid tough with robust BOXT rear chainstays and seat stays, and BMX track style forged dropouts that shroud the rear axle.
The Zulu One comes equipped with a coaster brake in order to comply with US regulations. The rear disc brake kit allows you to remove the coaster brake and install a rear disc brake. It includes:
• Fully assembled rear wheel with tire, tube and brake rotor installed.
• Fully bled brake assembly with caliper and lever.

I work in the bike industry and I’m used to high end bikes so the Zulu One was a no brainer for my just turned 2 year old kiddo to start learning how to pedal on. Things that really stand out are the aluminum frame and fork, the disc brakes, smaller diameter handlebars for little hands, and geometry that encourages off road use. This bike is really dialed out of the box and there’s nothing I would change except reducing weight which would be difficult since this is a ‘real’ mini mountain bike. My kids height is 35inches and uses a seat height of 14inches on his run bike. The Zulu one is a tad big for him which is perfect since he’s not fully ready for it yet.
Just amazing. The packaging was great, made my daughter feel just like daddy the way it came in the box like my high end bikes come. The bike itself is great and she was able to hit the trails right away. I could really see a confidence increase in her within just a few days.
After a ton of research- we purchased this for my 3 year old son. I am so glad to have a bike I can be confident in when my little guy is riding light single track and at the local skills parks. The geometry is stable and confidence inspiring for kid's learning to ride- as evidenced by the large number of parents that are AMAZED at how fast their kids transition from a balance bike to this one. Read about the Balance method and use it- the advice was spot on- our son was riding with us in 2 days. The finishing touches are so well thought out too. It is easy to adjust the reach on the brake levers for smaller hands, the bolts are recessed to not catch on little legs or pants, and he is so proud to have a bike that looks like Dad's! If your family lives and breathes bikes like ours does- get this bike! Your little one will be keeping up with you in no time!!!
The craftsmanship and quality is unparalleled in kids bikes from any manufacturer I know. I bought this bike after tons of research and talking with people who have one and everyone said this was THE best kids bike on the market . They weren’t lying so happy with this bike!
This is so well made, excellent components. Amazing design and care to build something that the tiniest rider can enjoy (and not destroy) out on the mountain and dirt park. We love it and are so thrilled to have invested in this bike for our son. He’s just turned four and follows his bigger siblings fearlessly into some big features at the park, so this thing was an amazing upgrade for our little guy from the traditional tiny tot type bikes out there.
