We do not open pre-orders for a shipment until we have a good amount of confidence in the ship date.  That being said, the estimated delivery dates listed on our website are based on the best information that we have at the moment.  While we cannot control every variable, we pledge to be honest and transparent about lead times.

- The ship dates that are on the website represent our honest estimate of the date that the bikes will ship on.

- Where information is imprecise (for example, referencing a month or quarter), it is because there are unpredictable factors that make it so we cannot credibly be more precise.

- We will work tirelessly to keep the bikes on schedule. It's part of our company culture to be very involved in our supply chain and to be proactive about addressing issues that could turn into delays.

- If something happens that changes the ship date we will communicate quickly and clearly about the delay.

- You can cancel your pre-order any time before your bike ships.


Pre-date changes

Your pre-order date will be included in your order confirmation. If we learn something that changes that date, we will contact you. You might see the pre-order date change on the website. There are a variety of things that could cause a change in the pre-order date including shipping delays, back logs, or moving through different batches. Just because the date on the website changes, does not mean that the date of a pre-order already placed has changed.  Again, if you place a pre-order and the estimated delivery date changes, we will inform you.

The 16" Alpha Two is the perfect bike for 4 to 6 year olds whether they are just learning to ride or are mastering the trails. It features:
  1. Prevelo confidence inspiring low and narrow geometry. Prevelo geometry keeps the rider low, balanced and in control
  2. Lightweight 6061 aluminum frame with custom formed tubing.
  3. Lightweight aluminum alloy fork with alloy steerer.
  4. Front and rear v-brakes with small reach brake levers.
  5. Front and rear hubs with low profile rounded hex bolts and no harsh edged nuts for little legs to knock against.
  6. Custom made cranks. All Prevelo cranks are sized specifically for each model bike, down to the millimeter.

Internal Cable Routing

Great lightweight bike - no compromise on quality, inspires confidence and gets used daily!

I got this for our 4 year old daughter (she needed a pink bike !) for Christmas after 2 years of her using a 12 inch wheel balance bike. She was up and pedalling on her own within 5 minutes. The riding position installs confidence and everything being light means it is easy for her to handle, and then light enough for me to carry home on my back when she gets tired after riding 3 miles. It uses propper ‘real bike’ components so if you are a bike geek you will have confidence in them/know that they will be easily replaceable should parts need to be serviced or replaced in the future. I am especially happy it has a alloy bottom bracket rather than a plastic one like on other light weight bikes which will be longer wearing. Really pleased I was able to buy a bike with pink handlebar grips from an American company.

The Best Bike!

After countless research to get the first pedal bike for my son, I decided to get the Prevelo Alpha Two. Since I live in India, I was very happy to know that Prevelo does International Shipping. The customer service is very prompt and answered all my queries related to product and delivery. Bike arrived before the committed date in a well packaged box. The assembly of the bike was very easy, completed in few mins with the tools in the box. Alpha two looks spectacular in blue. Its much more beautiful than the images on the site. The geometry and weight distribution of the bike is perfect for my son who will be turning four in couple of weeks. To our surprise and joy, he started pedalling and riding like a pro as soon as the assembly was done where as we had seen him struggling on other pedal bikes. Its purely the magic of Prevelo bike, a far superior and well engineered kids bike. Although a little expensive, the build and ride quality of the bike makes it absolutely worthy. Kudos to Prevelo team for delivering such quality bike and making the cycling a fun experience!

Best Bike

I bought the alpha two for my 4 year old son who had the Strider since he was two years old. He got on the bike and within hours am he was riding the Alpha! Best purchase!

Absolutely Spectacular

This was the first 'big boy' bike for my son who turned four only a few weeks ago. After countless hours of thorough reserach, I ordered the bike about two weeks before his birthday. The confirmation e-mail made me a little concerned with the estimated ship time, so I reached out to ensure it woudl get to us in time. The team at Prevolo was outstanding, responded to my concern, and put the bike on rush just for us. Needless to say, it got to us in plenty of time to have my son smiling on his birthday! It was super easy to put together, at only 10-15 minutes, and was tuned to perfection. Made this dad a happy camper! Best of all, my son switched from his strider bike, to the Alpha Two the very first day! He took to the bike like a pro and I've been showing all my friends and co-workers the videos of how well he is thriving on this bike. Any parent considering the traditional training wheels, coaster breaks, and heavy bike from a big box store should think twice. The prevolo is well worth the investment. The Herr household will be a long-time Prevolo customer and we can't wait to buy more bikes for the two other growing kiddos in our clan!
