Pre-Order Dates

We do not open pre-orders for a shipment until we have a good amount of confidence in the ship date.  That being said, the estimated delivery dates listed on our website are based on the best information that we have at the moment.  While we cannot control every variable, we pledge to be honest and transparent about lead times.

- The ship dates that are on the website represent our honest estimate of the date that the bikes will ship on.

- Where information is imprecise (for example, referencing a month or quarter), it is because there are unpredictable factors that make it so we cannot credibly be more precise.

- We will work tirelessly to keep the bikes on schedule. It's part of our company culture to be very involved in our supply chain and to be proactive about addressing issues that could turn into delays.

- If something happens that changes the ship date we will communicate quickly and clearly about the delay.

- You can cancel your pre-order any time before your bike ships.


Pre-date changes

Your pre-order date will be included in your order confirmation. If we learn something that changes that date, we will contact you. You might see the pre-order date change on the website. There are a variety of things that could cause a change in the pre-order date including shipping delays, back logs, or moving through different batches. Just because the date on the website changes, does not mean that the date of a pre-order already placed has changed.  Again, if you place a pre-order and the estimated delivery date changes, we will inform you.


Pre-order payment policy

Your credit card will be charged immediately when you place your pre-order.  Your pre-order is cancelable and fully refundable. If you need to cancel a pre-order contact us and we'll take care of it!

Ultra Adjustable Seat Height

The proprietary THRU-TUBE frame design and HEIR Frame Hugger saddle combine to give the Alpha One class leading seat height range. The seat height can be adjusted from 14.5 in to 19.7 in. And the quick release seat clamp means that adjusting seat height is a quick tool free task.

Forged Dropouts and Kid Friendly Hubs

Kids put their bikes through the ringer. Prevelo bikes are built kid tough with robust BMX track style forged dropouts that shroud the rear axle. Think durable and made to last. The hubs are equipped with rounded axle bolts that minimize hard edges. And because kids are going to run their bikes through muck, the hubs have rubber seals to keep out dirt and grime.

THRU-TUBE™ Frame

The unique THRU-TUBE™ is designed to keep riders low, confident and agile. It unlocks class-leading low seat height and seat height range, and improves pedaling ergonomics while keeping the rider's feet close to the ground.

Internal Cable Routing

Rear brake cable is internally routed through the frame where it is safe and protected from getting hung up on branches, terrain, small fingers, and car bike racks.

The Alpha One ships with front and rear Tektro v-brakes with kid friendly short reach levers. In the United States this bike is required to ship with a coaster brake installed. The optional easy-to-install freewheel kit is available to remove the coaster brake.

The Alpha One is the smallest pedal bike in the Prevelo lineup and is the perfect starting point for the youngest cyclists—easy to learn on and the ideal first bike, with short cranks that fit little legs perfectly and a THRU-TUBE frame design that offers class-leading low saddle height.

It's packed with features to get little riders off to the right start, including:

  1. Prevelo confidence inspiring low and narrow geometry. Prevelo geometry keeps the rider low, balanced and in control.
  2. Lightweight 6061 aluminum frame with custom formed tubing.
  3. Lightweight aluminum alloy fork with alloy steerer.
  4. Front and rear v-brakes with small reach brake levers.
  5. Rear coaster brake (removable with optional freewheel kit).
  6. Front hub with low profile rounded hex bolts and no harsh edged nuts for little legs to knock against.
  7. Three piece crank with squared taper cartridge bearing bottom bracket and ultra narrow Q factor.
  8. Custom made cranks. All Prevelo cranks are sized specifically for each model bike, down to the millimeter.
  9. 95% assembled. Just install the handlebar, seatpost and pedals.

The Alpha One comes standard with a coaster brake.  If you want to remove the coaster brake, select the Freewheel Kit option.
